What's In Your Mouth?

My church has gone through a tremendous transition.  As we continue to mourn the loss of my great husband, Superintendent Lamar Kennedy, we are growing in spirit, strength, and faith! Our services are filled with God's love, His praise, His revelation, His power, and His anointing.

It is our endeavor to truly please God, and we know that takes faith.  For the last few weeks, we have been studying faith.  When the children of Israel were delivered from Pharaoh, their faith waned.  Although God had sent plagues and killed the firstborn of the Egyptians to prove his sovereign power to his chosen people, the Red Sea ahead seemed to be too much for them. They began to complain and blamed Moses for the challenge ahead.  It was so overwhelming that even Moses was unsure of what to do next.  Although he reassured the people with a strong declaration of deliverance, Mose still cried out to God.  We know this because God asked him, "Wherefore criest thou unto me? But lift up thou rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea." When my husband would preach this passage, his text would be: What do you have in your hand?

Faith is not stagnated nor stationary.  Faith acts, and speaks! If you want to activate your faith, you must elevate your vocabulary.  People who speak negatively, live in negative circumstances.  However, the children of God have been given a higher vocabulary.  If you are looking for the right words, read your Bible.  Every promise over your life is in those  66 books.  All you have to do to move the mountains in your life is speak the word!  Don't be like the children of Israel and dismiss the God of your salvation.  When you come up against a Red Sea, ask yourself, "What do I have in my mouth" and then speak! Don't focus on the sea, but focus on the one who can dry up the sea!

If you need a financial breakthrough, pray to Jehovah Jireh, and let him know that you trust him to provide for you.  When your body is in pain, speak healing over yourself.  Whatever you are facing today, watch your mouth.  Instead of speaking about the problem, speak to the Solution.  God has given you the authority to call those things that are not as though they were! That means no matter what it looks like, God has the last word.  And he shared that word with you.  Elevate your vocabulary, activate your faith, and watch God move!

Here are a few scriptures to get you started:
Exodus 14: 9-31
Mark 11:23-24
Romans 4:17

Reaching the lost at any cost,
